DAY 2
Our route will take us through Missouri and Oklahoma with our overnight at the Elk Inn-Elk City, Oklahoma.  Indoor minature golf, anyone?  (CB)

DAY 3
What trip across Historic Route 66 would be complete without a picture-stop at the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.  Imagine a dusty wheat field with ten graffiti-covered cars half-buried, nosedown in the sand!  This evening is in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Drury Inn.  (B, WR)

DAY 4
Are you starting to feel "Sun-Kiss'd"?  Our route turns south to Las Cruces, New Mexico and into Tucson, Arizona.  Lodging the next two nights will be in Tucson at the beautiful new Desert Diamond Casino Hotel.  This 2 year young property offers 5 restaurants and 24 hour gaming.  (CB)

DAY 5
Our step-on guide will show us the sights of Tucson including the Sonora Desert Museum, ranked as one of the greatest natural museums in the world.  The San Xavier del Bac Mission, the Grand "White Dove of the Desert" and Old Tucson are also on our schedule for today.  Enjoy the Giant Saguaro Cactus, whose blossom is Arizon's state flower.  Ride the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains on a 45-minute narrated tram in the Sabino Canyon.  (CB)

DAY 6
Enjoy a stop at the De Grazia Art Gallery in Tucson.  Journeying northwest today our route brings us to Phoenix, Arizona our next destination.  Our first stop will be at the Desert Botanical Gardens where we will enjoy a southwest cooking demonstration - featuring a "fabulous food" chef, lunch, and tour.  Highlights of the Heard Museum, ten exhibit halls of Native American art, will conclude our tours for today.  Lodging for our next three nights will be at the Drury Inn-Phoenix, Arizona.  (CB, WR)

DAY 7
Spend the day in the Superstition Mountains, the largest of the mountain ranges surrounding Phoenix.  These volcanic peaks and ridges separated by boulder-filled canyons, covered by saguaro and other cacti and intertwined with springs and streamways offer a pristine delight for our adventurous day.  Follow the Old Apache Trail - Arizon's Historic Route 88 - to Tortilla Flat for lunch. Starting out as a stage stop in 1904 it now has a large population of 6.  An included narrated cruise aboard the Dolly Steamboat on beautiful Canyon Lake will take us in secluded waterways to admire the lower Sonoran Desert.  Dinner and entertainment will complete the day.  (CB, WR, D)

DAY 8
Today our step-on guide will show us downtown Phoenix and Old Town Scottsdale.  (CB, WR)

DAY 9
Surrounded by towering red rock formations, Sedona, Arizona is next on our agenda.  Experience the main mode of transportation during the area's bustling mining days as we traavel on the Verde Canyon Railroad through protected wilderness reservations and view Sinagua Indian ruins.  Lodging for the next two nights will be in Flagstaff, Arizona at the Drury Inn.  (CB, WR)

DAY 10
The Grand Canyon, 1st discovered in 1540, will be our host today.  This 10-mile wide and 277-mile long canyons North and South rims are separated by the mighty Colorado River.  The canyon is home to 250 members of the Havasupai Reservation, a small agricultural tribe.  (CB, WR)

DAY 11
Our homeward journey brings us back to Albuquerque, New Mexico with shopping and dinner on your own in Old Town.  Drury Inn will again host our evening stay.  (CB, WR)

DAY 12
Today we can pay our respects to those who lost their lives in the Federal Building bombing in Oklahoma City as we visit their memorial.  Overnight is the Elk Inn-Elk City, Oklahoma.  (CB)
